How Healthy Living Supports Working Individuals
A 30-Day Program That’s Structured, Not Open-Ended
Our residential program is a defined 30-day commitment. That clarity matters for employed individuals. You’re not entering an open-ended process with no timeline, you’re enrolling in a structured, daily clinical program with a clear beginning, middle, and end. From the first morning of medical detox through your final week of residential treatment and aftercare planning, every day has a purpose. Our clinical team led by board-certified physicians and licensed therapists creates a personalized treatment plan from day one, so your time in our care is focused, efficient, and effective.
Technology Access After Five Days
We know staying completely disconnected from work for 30 days is unrealistic for many of our clients. That’s why Healthy Living allows clients access to personal technology phones, laptops, tablets beginning on day five of their stay. The first several days are reserved for medical detox and clinical stabilization, a period where full focus on your physical and mental wellbeing is essential. After that, you’ll have the ability to check emails, stay connected to your team, and manage any urgent work matters during designated free time. Recovery and professional responsibility don’t have to be mutually exclusive at our facility.
FMLA, State Disability & Leave of Absence Navigation
One of the biggest logistical barriers for working individuals seeking residential treatment is figuring out how to protect their job and income while they’re away. At Healthy Living, our admissions and clinical team is experienced in helping clients navigate this process with confidence.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) entitles eligible employees at qualifying companies to up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year for qualifying medical conditions which includes substance use disorder treatment at a licensed residential facility. California State Disability Insurance (SDI) may provide partial wage replacement during your time in treatment, often covering 60–70% of your weekly wages. Many employers also offer personal Leave of Absence (LOA) policies that can complement these protections. We help clients understand what they’re entitled to, prepare the documentation needed, and coordinate with HR departments and insurance providers so that the administrative burden doesn’t fall entirely on you during what is already a demanding time.
Your job is protected by law. Your income may be partially maintained. And your privacy is legally safeguarded under HIPAA. Your employer does not have the right to know the specific nature of your medical leave.
Confidential, Private, and Discreet Care
Privacy is a top priority at Healthy Living. Our 12-bed residential facility in Santa Clarita operates with the intimacy and discretion of a private medical setting. We are not a large institutional campus. There are no long hallways of strangers. There is no community billboard announcing your presence. What happens within our walls is protected by HIPAA and our staff treats every client’s personal and medical information with the utmost confidentiality. Many of our clients are business owners, executives, healthcare professionals, educators, and other high-functioning individuals in the Los Angeles area who require absolute discretion. We deliver it, without exception.
