Working & Employed Individuals

Addiction doesn’t wait for a convenient time and neither should treatment. Many of our clients are actively employed professionals who worry that seeking help means sacrificing their career. At Healthy Living, we make recovery compatible with professional life. After the initial detox phase, clients gain access to personal technology, allowing them to stay connected to essential work responsibilities while focusing on healing. Our structured 30-day program is designed to provide the intensive care you need without permanently derailing your career trajectory. Recovery is an investment in your future and so is your job.

Leave from Work  FMLA, Disability & Leave of Absence

Taking time away from work to focus on your health is a right protected by law, and our admissions team is experienced in helping clients navigate the process. The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), State Disability Insurance (SDI), and employer-sponsored Leave of Absence programs can provide the job protection and income continuity you need while enrolled in our 30-day residential program. We work directly with clients and their employers or HR departments to ensure the necessary documentation is in place, so you can focus entirely on getting well without fear of losing your livelihood. You deserve to recover without that weight on your shoulders.

Family Support

Addiction is a family disease. It affects everyone under the same roof and beyond. At Healthy Living, we recognize that healing is most powerful when it includes the people who matter most. Our program incorporates family engagement into the recovery process, including designated Sunday evening Visitation Hours so loved ones can reconnect and be part of the journey. We also accept couples who are both seeking treatment, offering a rare and compassionate option for partners navigating recovery together. We believe that repairing relationships and rebuilding trust are as essential to long-term sobriety as any clinical therapy.

First Responders

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians serve on the front lines every day, and they carry a unique burden. The cumulative stress of trauma exposure, irregular schedules, and a culture that often discourages asking for help creates fertile ground for substance use disorders. At Healthy Living, we honor the sacrifice first responders make and provide a safe, confidential environment where they can step away from duty and focus on themselves, many for the first time. Our clinical team is experienced in treating PTSD, occupational trauma, and co-occurring disorders common among emergency service professionals. You’ve shown up for others. Let us show up for you.

Trauma-Informed Care

For Men

Men face unique social and cultural pressures that often delay seeking help for addiction. Stigma, pride, and the expectation to “handle it alone” are barriers that keep too many men from getting the care they need and deserve. Our co-ed residential setting creates a community where men can be authentic, vulnerable, and supported by peers walking the same road. From clinical group therapy and process groups to mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, and 12-step programming, our male clients receive comprehensive care that addresses the emotional, psychological, and physical dimensions of addiction. Real strength begins with asking for help.

For Women

Women’s experiences with addiction are often shaped by trauma, relationship dynamics, hormonal factors, and societal expectations in ways that require a thoughtful, gender-sensitive clinical approach. At Healthy Living, women receive individualized treatment plans that address the whole person, including trauma history, mental health, and the underlying emotional drivers of substance use. Our licensed therapists and counselors create a safe, affirming space where women can heal honestly and openly. From art therapy and psychodrama to daily reflections and community support, our female clients are empowered to rebuild self-worth and reclaim their lives on their own terms.

Individualized Treatment Plans

For the LGBTQ+ Community

Members of the LGBTQ+ community experience disproportionately higher rates of substance use disorders, driven by minority stress, discrimination, family rejection, and a lack of culturally affirming care. Healthy Living is a proudly inclusive treatment program that welcomes individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations without judgment. Our staff are trained in LGBTQ+-affirming practices, and our peer community reflects the full spectrum of human experience. Whether you’re seeking treatment as an individual or as a couple, you will find a space here where you are seen, respected, and supported exactly as you are. Authentic recovery begins in a place of authentic belonging.

For Veterans

Veterans have given an extraordinary amount in service to this country, and many return home carrying invisible wounds in the form of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and the substance use that often follows. At Healthy Living Residential Program, we have deep respect for those who have served, and our clinical approach accounts for the specific trauma, loss, and transition challenges that veterans face. We work with veterans to navigate VA benefits, insurance coverage, and the logistical barriers that often stand between them and treatment. You served your country. Now let us serve your recovery. Our doors are open and our team is ready to walk this next mission with you.
