How it Starts

When the time comes to go to rehab or to have someone that you care about sent to rehab, you need a facility that’s going to be there for you. That’s why we’re available 24/7/365. No matter when you need to talk to someone, our Admission Coordinator is available to take your call. Early in the morning, late at night, weekends, mid-afternoon – when you’re ready to make the call, we’ll be there to take it. It’s the least we can do for someone that’s going through such a difficult process.

From there, we’ll perform a complete intake evaluation on the phone. This evaluation won’t take long (typically, it’s brief) but it will be thorough and comprehensive. This will touch on a variety of topics, namely what substances you or your loved one are abusing. We’ll also want to know if they’ve tried treatment before, and how long they’ve been using. How often they’re using is also important to us. This evaluation also includes plenty of questions that aren’t related to substance abuse, as well.

That means we’ll ask about you or your loved one’s job, where and if they’re working. We’ll also want to know about the living situation, as well. Of course, we’ll have to ask about any other medical conditions that we might need to know about. All of these questions might sound like overkill, but they’re important in helping us to figure out what the best treatment option for you or your loved one is. Once we have all of that information, we’ll be able to make an assessment.

We’ll also need to talk to you about insurance, too. Should you or your loved one be someone who’s on private insurance, then we’ll need all of your insurance info, too. After all that’s done, then it’s time to set up how you or someone you care about is going to make it to the Healthy Living Rehab Program.

Once You Arrive

The moment you or your loved one gets here, a member of our trained staff will conduct an assessment. This will confirm and build upon what was learned during the intake evaluation over the phone. This information will then be passed along to the medical director, all with the stated goal of providing you or someone you care about with a specific, individualized treatment program for your needs.

A complete medical examination is the next step. We have a trained physician on staff, too. They’ll go through an addiction assessment, determining what kind of detox that you need. From there, we can use that information to build a program that can lessen or even outright eliminate any withdrawal symptoms. Detox can be extremely difficult, and even dangerous. By performing this evaluation, our physician makes sure that your detox, even though it may be difficult, will be as smooth as it can be.

Of course, that isn’t the end of our evaluations. The next is a psychosocial assessment, where you or your loved one will discuss any mental health issues with our psychiatrist. So many of our clients have a mental health program and aren’t even aware of it, due to their addiction or for some other reason. By treating your mental health program as well as your addiction, we can help you to live a better, sober life on your terms. Just treating the addiction isn’t enough to keep it away for good.

Dual diagnosis treatment services and others can help you in so many different ways. Should we determine that a psychiatric disorder is present; sessions with our psychiatrists will be scheduled while in detox as well as once you’ve completed it.

Our Detox in Los Angeles

After all that, then your detox will begin. It’s important to note that, while detox is a crucial part of recovery, it’s not all there is to recovery. Indeed, once you’ve gone through detox, that’s a tremendous achievement, but the next step after that is treatment. Detox, by itself, can’t stop drug or alcohol abuse. But, it can provide a framework, a foundation upon which the rest of your life can grow. When you’re ready to begin the process, don’t hesitate to give our detox in Los Angeles a call any time at (661) 536-5562.
